Salina Turda – Ancient Underground Spa Center in Romania

Salina Turda, Cluj County, Romania. A former salt mine is called the most beautiful and exciting underground place in the world. It has been used since the antiquity until 1992 when a spa center was founded. Since then it has been visited by millions of tourists.

The air in the mine is very clear, allowing to do the respiratory physiotherapy sessions. There are playgrounds for kids, museum, amphitheater for conferences and concerts, and other recreational facilities, that provide fun activities. Outside the mine there is a pool filled with beneficial minerals. Besides the mine, Turda region features amazing nature.
